High Voltage
Transmission Termination
.The 69 TCT Termination lightweight and easy to handle. It can be assembled horizontally on the ground and then raised to the installation position without a crane. Installation can be accomplished without special training using a normal assembly/tension device. The 69 TCT can utilize standard cable support systems.

MEDIUM VOLTAGE
.The power cable joints are highly reliable, factory-molded and tested cable joints for 15kV, 25kV and 35(36)kV class distribution systems. When assembled, they provide permanent, fully shielded, fully submersible cable joints for direct burial or vault applications of solid dielectric single-core and three-core cables.
.Designed to meet or exceed the IEC 60502-4 standard as well as the rigid IEEE 404 standard.

PROPERTIES OF EPDM RUBBER
RAW MATERIAL
Volume 1, Issue 1
The rubber used in all products manufactured by ELASTIMOLD-EGYPT is EPDM. This is a terpolymer of ethylene,propylene and non-conjugated diene. The resultant hydrocarbon-based elastomer has all the advantages of general purpose rubber but its performance excels in electrical strength and resistance to environmental condition.

Ozone Resistance
Unlike many rubbers EPDM can be considered immune to ozone attack. It easily meets cable specification which require testing for 3 hours at ozone concentrations of 0,025-0,030% by volume.
Corona Resistance
The outstanding resistance to corona is due to the ability of EPDM to withstand ozone and other chemical compounds formed by the discharge as well resistance to heat.
Radiation Resistance
the use of connectors manufactured by ELASTIMOLD-EGYPT for nuclear environments indicates the confidence engineers have in the radiation resistance of EPDM.
Chemical Resistance
Products made from EPDM resist attack by many acids,alkalis,detergents,phosphate,esters,ketones,alcohol and glycols they give particularly outstanding service in the presence of hot water and high pressure steam. Like all hydrocarbon-based elastomers EPDM is not resistant to hydrocarbon solvents and oils or chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Resistance to the Environment
EPDM rubber has properties comparable with the best speciality elastomers in resistance to weather. Accelerated life and salt spray tests suggested excellent properties which have been proven in practice by more than 25 years experience in widely varied applications all over the world.
Resistance to High Temperature
Electrical products moulded in EPDM will withstand air temperatures up to 130⁰C. Intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 175⁰C is practical with this compound depending on the exact conditions of exposure. Thick sectioned moulded connectors will withstand relatively greater exposure to heat.
Resistance to Low Temperature
Vulcanised EPDM remains flexible at very low temperatures and becomes brittle on impact only at temperatures below -60⁰C.
Resistance to Water
Water has little effect on the properties of EPDM hydrocarbon rubber.Even long immersion in hot water results in minimal loss of tensile strength.Tests also show a very low degree of water absorption.
Resistance to Mechanical Abuse
EPDM has good resistance to compression , cutting ,impact, tearing and abrasion over a wide temperature range.

DEAD BREAK SEPARABLE CONNECTORS

L-Shape Elbow 156LR
.Elbow Connector is fully-rated 15/25kV, 250Amp Class dead break connector. Units include provisions for de-energized operation using standard hot stick tools. It has a standard interface for connecting to 15/25kV 250 Amp dead break bushing inserts, junctions and other accessories. The 156LR is equipped with an internal voltage test point. Mates with bushing interface conforms to CENELEC EN 50181 interface(A).
L-Shape Elbow 400LB
.Is designed to provide fully- shielded, dead-front submersible cable connections to high-voltage apparatus. The K400LB can be used up to 25kV for aluminum and copper conductors. The bushing interface conforms to CENELEC EN 50181 for use with standard 400/630A European switchgear C interface. A ground wire is attached for easy shield grounding after installation.
T Shape Elbow
.Body is designed to provide fully-shielded, dead-front submersible cable connections to high-voltage apparatus. It can be used through 36kV with conductor range up to 630 mm² for aluminum and copper conductors. The product mates with bushing interface customized from both sides.
HEAT SHRINK PRODUCTS

Cable Breakouts
Designed for cable sealing crutches and to provide resistance to abrasion, weathering and chemical attack. It’s trusted for indoor and outdoor applications for all types of polymeric and paper insulated cables.

End Caps
Heat shrinkable stabilized cross linked polyolefin sealing caps(SC), in black color are ideal for protecting cable ends. SC are designed to seal the end of cables against ingress of moisture and contamination, and provide insulation and resistance to abrasion, weathering and chemical attack. Such sealing caps are required for cable transport, storage and installation.

Boots
Heat shrinkable stabilized cross-linked Polyolefin anti tracking boots, in red or grey color, designed to provide protection to the end cables and bushing insulation and sealing against ingress of moisture and contamination and provide insulation and resistance to abrasion, weathering and chemical attack.

HEAT SHRINK TUBES
SHSI is an excellent product for sealing and insulating cable splices connections, terminations and jacket repairs. The tubing is designed to withstand the severe mechanical requirements of submersible, and direct buried installations.

LOW VOLTAGE HEAT SHRINK JOINT
SHSJ (cable joint) are outstandingly suitable for jointing two single or multi-core, polymeric (XLPE, PVC),Al or Cu, armored or non-armored in the low voltage range (up to 1 kV).

PORCELAIN OUTDOOR SEALING END

.The SEPT 72 conforms and type tested according to IEC 60840.
.Pre-molded stress control system made of EPDM rubber.
.Termination’s stress cone covers cable cross section area up to 2000 mm² with diameter over insulation up to 97 mm.
.Termination is filled with an insulating compound up to a level where the electric field is substantially reduced. The terminations base plates and the cables metallic screen are electrically insulated from the supporting structure by means of stand-off insulators, designed to withstand both mechanical and electrical operating stresses .
.Termination designed for operation under severe outdoor conditions.
